Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Azure DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Octopus Deploy to join our DevOps and Release Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and deployment automation for enterprise applications. This role requires hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, deployment orchestration tools, and release management best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage end-to-end software release management for enterprise applications.
- Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Create and manage automated deployment processes using Octopus Deploy.
- Collaborate with engineering and QA teams on application deployment strategy and release planning.
- Integrate version control and workflows using GitHub / GitHub Actions.
- Automate deployment activities using PowerShell, YAML, or scripting tools.
- Troubleshoot build and deployment issues; perform root-cause analysis.
- Manage multi-environment deployments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod).
- Ensure deployment reliability, consistency, and compliance with DevOps standards.
- Work during the US EST shift (5:30 PM IST – 2:30 AM IST) for release and deployment support.
Qualification & Certification:
Required:
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, Boards)
- Hands-on experience with Octopus Deploy for enterprise release automation
- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles, branching strategies, and deployment workflows
- Knowledge of Git/GitHub and code repository management
- Experience with PowerShell/YAML scripting
- Understanding of cloud deployment environments (Azure preferred)
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Terraform, ARM templates, or other IaC tools
- Experience supporting distributed/global teams
