1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus)
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle requisition, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer, and onboarding for all roles across Head Office, plant locations (Cheyyar / Alathur), and overseas postings (Ethiopia, Myanmar).
Source candidates through job portals (Naukri, LinkedIn, Indeed), pharma-specific networks, campus drives, and recruitment agencies.
Partner with department heads (Production, QA/QC, Clinical, Marketing, etc.) to understand manpower requirements and prepare accurate job descriptions.
Maintain and publish up-to-date job descriptions for all positions in line with company standards.
Screen CVs and conduct initial telephonic / HR screening interviews; coordinate technical interviews with department leads.
Manage bulk recruitment drives for plant positions (Production Chemists, QC, QA, HVAC, SPP/ETP Operators, etc.).
Coordinate overseas recruitment for international postings (Ethiopia / Myanmar) including liaison with relevant agencies and documentation support for work permits.
Maintain a talent pipeline and database of qualified candidates for current and future requirements.
Issue offer letters, appointment letters, and employment agreements in line with company policy.
Ensure all new joiners submit required documents (original certificates, signed cheque leaf, agreements) as per company terms and conditions.
Track and report open positions, time-to-hire, and recruitment costs to management on a regular basis.
2. Onboarding & Induction
Design and execute structured induction programmes for new employees covering company policies, GMP/GCP/safety guidelines, and role-specific information.
Coordinate with department heads to ensure smooth joining and placement of new hires.
Monitor probation and training periods (6 months for freshers, 3 months for experienced candidates) and facilitate assessment processes.
Maintain proper joining documentation and employee records from day one.
3. HR Operations & Policy Compliance
Implement and administer company HR policies including probation, confirmation, resignation, notice period, and service agreements.
Maintain accurate employee records (personal files, attendance, leave, and service data) for all locations.
Ensure statutory compliance with PF, ESI, Gratuity, Maternity Benefits, and Bonus as per government norms.
Oversee payroll inputs, overtime records, and housing allowance processing for eligible employees.
Administer the group insurance scheme, annual medical check-up programme, and other employee benefits.
Handle employee queries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures in a timely and professional manner.
4. Performance Management
Coordinate periodic performance assessments for probation, training, and confirmed employees.
Maintain assessment records and follow up with department heads for timely completion.
Support the management in performance improvement plans or termination proceedings where required, ensuring procedural compliance.
5. Employee Relations & Engagement
Foster a positive work environment and handle employee grievances fairly and confidentially.
Coordinate employee engagement activities including annual outings, Ayudha Pooja celebrations, and recognition programmes.
Support a culture of discipline, punctuality, and productivity in line with company values.
6. Training & Development
Identify training needs in coordination with department heads and organise relevant programmes (GMP, GCP, safety, soft skills).
Maintain training records and ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements for regulated roles.
7. HR Reporting & MIS
Prepare and submit regular HR reports to management covering headcount, attrition, open positions, joining/exit data, and recruitment status.
Maintain HR dashboards and ensure data accuracy across all company locations.
