Job Description:

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in manual and automated testing to validate our semiconductor equipment automation solutions. You will be responsible for test case preparation, execution, defect tracking, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality. Additionally, you will interact directly with customers and internal teams to communicate findings, ideas, and solutions effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and execute test cases based on software requirements.
2. Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
3. Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools.
4. Work closely with developers and customers to debug and resolve issues.
5. Ensure test coverage across different software modules and releases.
6. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and define testing requirements.
7. Communicate test results and ideas effectively within the team and to customers.
8. Participate in test planning, strategy discussions, and process improvements.
9. Contribute to automation initiatives where applicable.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. 3-6 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on manual testing.
2. Strong expertise in test case design, execution, and defect management.
3. Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
4. Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
5. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with global teams and customers.
6. Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
7. BTech/MTech or equivalent education or experience in a relevant field.

Good to Have Skills:

1. Experience with TestComplete, Selenium, Cypress, or any other test automation tool.
2. Knowledge of Python for scripting and automation
3. Knowledge of BDD and Cucumber, including Gherkin syntax for writing test scenarios.
4. Knowledge of SEMI standards (e.g., SECS/GEM, EDA, GEM300) related to semiconductor automation.
5. Familiarity with Jenkins for CI/CD integration.
6. Prior experience in semiconductor or industrial automation testing.
7. US B1 Visa and willingness to travel for business visits if required.
